The summer camp and retreat facilities run by the Pacific Northwest Conference are sited in large, wooded environments where movement between buildings requires traversing dirt paths that include roots, rocks, and sticks. Camp N-Sid-Sen, on Lake Coeur d’Alene in North Idaho, includes more than a half mile of beautiful, but rocky beach that is accessed by sometimes steep terrain. Additionally, some of the sleeping quarters are located nearly a quarter of a mile from the dining facility. At Pilgrim Firs, located near Port Orchard, moving between cabins, lodges, dining facilities and the serene lake trails requires walking dirt paths and sometimes steep hills. The terrain and distance can make getting around camp difficult for some folks.

Our camps are not ADA accredited sites, however, to help mitigate accessibility difficulties our sites have limited access to golf carts that can be used to help mobility-impaired folks move around camp, with prior notification. There is also the option to use personal vehicles to move around portions of the sites.

We will make every possible effort to ensure our sites are safely and comfortably accessible to folks with differing levels of mobility. As you consider attending events at our camps please be in contact with us if you have concerns or questions about how we can meet your physical needs.
