Leadership Team

Evan J. Bailey, Site Director (starting January 2027)

Growing up in Northwest Michigan, Evan developed a great appreciation for the natural world. His journey as a camp professional began in 2009 when he served as a Ranch-hand. Evan has since spent more than 13 years working in the camping industry. Most recently he served as a Barn Director at Victory Junction, a camp for children with medically complex situations in North Carolina.

Early in his camping career, Evan found great success working with high school leadership camping programs at Grace Adventures in Silver Lake, Michigan. Helping young people transition from being campers themselves to assisting in providing a camp experience for the next generation was something Evan found particularly rewarding. As an intern at the same camp, Evan learned a tremendous amount about how to provide excellent hospitality to various groups such as women’s and men’s retreats as well as how to successfully facilitate team development experiences with church, community, and business leaders.

A personal understanding of the power of camp was developed from his own experiences as a camper on the lakes of northern Michigan. Evan feels that camp experiences have the ability to positively impact children and adults alike. Providing a camp environment that is welcoming and supportive is something he prides himself in.

In 2016 Evan met his wife, Abigail, while they were both working at a camp in northern Michigan. Their education and careers have taken them from Michigan to Indiana to North Carolina and now to Idaho. They have five children and the whole family is excited to start a new chapter at N-Sid-Sen.
